Since the time Noman joined Milestone Charitable Trust, his inclination towards creativity was identified and hence nurtured by offering him an opportunity to express his innermost feelings and thoughts as a tool of communication. Noman has immense talent that needs recognition and appreciation, hence keeping this in mind a humble effort of compiling his artwork depicting his skill and talent was put together. This breakthrough will hopefully take him a long way.

Sibtain Junejo

Diagnosis: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Sibtain is a differently-abled artist, who has participated in several exhibitions across Pakistan and the United States. Milestone was proud to host a prodigy like him for a few years, a forum where the artist in him found an outlet for his innermost thoughts and expression of self.
His diagnosis of intellectual disability has resulted in him being largely nonverbal; however, Sibtain communicates his thoughts and emotions with the world around him through his artistic endeavors.
Every color, line, and shape in his artwork is a glimpse of how he experiences and sees the world. The extreme attention to detail common in people diagnosed with (ASD)

Unsa Shah

Diagnosis: Down Syndrome

As a little girl, Unsa embarked on her career at Milestone Charitable Trust as a student with unique qualities of social demeanor and awareness of self and the environment. Her strengths as a student got nurtured while being a student of a structured program that catered to her curricular & co-curricular needs based on her individualized plan. Right from the beginning she was responsive to learning and displayed qualities of communication skills that slowly and gradually paved her path for a position as an effective classroom resource. There was no looking back, kudos to Unsa who is now in the sixth year of her employment as a classroom facilitator/ helper.

Mohd Aly

Diagnosis: Cerebral Palsy

Mohd Aly, has been a student of Milestone for 9 years, an intelligent, friendly, and extremely sociable young boy. He has always been a great enthusiast of curricular and co-curricular learning therefore; he was greatly facilitated at Milestone. The Center played a crucial part in building his confidence and independence in all areas of learning, as an integral strategy of therapeutic intervention. Aly has an innate ability to work with gadgets like laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile phones. He operates two YouTube channels which are solely based on
cricket games as cricket is Aly’s passion. He, therefore, plays on the online gaming platform, which is monitored by his parents; consequently, he has also learned the procedure of recording and uploading different games on YouTube. Additionally, he does online tutorials on how to play online cricket games.

Madiha Hussain

Diagnosis: Down Syndrome

Right from the beginning, Madiha underwent an early intervention program with special educationists. She began to develop artistically and was encouraged to embrace her innate artistic talent from a young age. She began her journey by meticulously creating geometric patterns, a medium that soon transformed into miniaturist abstraction. She designed stationery for Human Rights Education Program (HREP) (UNHCR) United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees & (CMPHR) Children’s Museum for Peace and Human Rights at 18. She began her professional career at Milestone Charitable Trust, as an Art resource, thus dealing with a small group of children with Down syndrome, and became instrumental in being an agent of change.
