Diagnosed at birth with Down syndrome (the extra sugar’n’spice )
Right from the beginning, Madiha underwent an early intervention program with special educationists. She began to develop artistically and was encouraged to embrace her innate artistic talent from a young age. She began her journey by meticulously creating geometric patterns, a medium that soon transformed into miniaturist abstraction. She designed stationery for Human Rights Education Program (HREP) (UNHCR) United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees & (CMPHR) Children’s Museum for Peace and Human Rights at 18. Began her professional career at Milestone Charitable Trust, as an Art resource, thus dealing with a small group of children with Down syndrome, and became instrumental in being an agent of change.
First solo exhibit of her Art work held in the years 2011, and 2012 at gallery KOEL, a group exhibit in 2014 at MICA (Museum for Islamic & Contemporary Art) London, and at Getz Pharma in 2015
