Criteria for Admission

Our focus is on evaluating the child’s cognition and behavioral skills. All class levels are designed to meet the specific needs of children. We cater to special children with mild to moderate developmental disabilities and language disorders including Autism, Down syndrome, Cerebral palsy, Fragile X syndrome and Asperger’s syndrome.

At the foundation level, the child’s behavioral pattern and cognitive skill set is observed and recorded. An Individual Education Plan (IEP) is drawn out based on the observations.

During assessment of children at the intermediate level, we look for their ability to follow tracing lines or patterns and their memory retention to follow instructions. We assess their readiness for learning more complex concepts with some assistance.

For children at the intermediate to advanced level, we focus on teaching sentence structure and letter recognition. Children at this level should demonstrate an intermediate level of cognition, being able to recognize letters, sentences, and basic concepts with verbal prompts.

Children placed in the ‘highly advanced learners’ category are expected to demonstrate proficiency in reading, understanding complex concepts, and independently constructing proper sentence structures. Their cognition should be at an advanced level to excel in this class.
