Milestone Charitable Trust is a non-profit non-government organization, which was founded on the belief that no child should be neglected and lead a negative existence.

HISTORY

Due to the inadequate facilities available in Pakistan for the education, training, and rehabilitation of children with physical and mental impediments, Fareezeh Durrani, a child development specialist, established a day treatment center by the name of Milestone in 1998.Milestone was started with a vision to serve as the first bi-lingual center for cognitive and language development. The center initiated its services with 25 students against the faculty of 15 teachers.The institution's program was designed to address Academics. Socialization, Speech & Language, Self-care, Dramatic Play and Preschool Art. Being the first English language-based Program for children with developmental disabilities, the concept and the services provided were highly appreciated.

To empower each student to pursue and reach his or her highest potential and individual milestone – by providing therapeutic learning using innovative and holistic methods in a professional, supportive, stable, and safe environment.

Our philosophy is simple: help each child reach personal goals based on his or her individual capability. This is achieved through a professional framework supported by dedicated and innovative teaching. At Milestone, students begin to believe in their own capabilities and begin to love to learn. Our goals stretch beyond teaching academic skills, by providing a comfortable and unique place of learning. We strive to transform these children from students to strong, independent, and constructive citizens.
