Physiotherapy Lab
One of the primary developments at the news facility is the establishment of a Physiotherapy Lab, aiming to enhance the mobility, independence, and well-being of children with special needs. This state-of-the-art facility provides specialized therapy for children with cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, developmental delays, and other physical disabilities.
The lab is equipped with sensory integration tools, balance trainers and mobility aids. Our in-house Physiotherapists design personalized rehabilitation programs tailored to each child’s needs. They work closely with educators to improve motor skills, coordination, and strength, helping students gain greater independence in their daily lives.
This initiative ensures that children, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, receive free access to high-quality therapy. Our Donor’s generosity has transformed the school into a more inclusive and supportive environment, empowering children to reach their full potential. The physiotherapy lab demonstrates the impact of community support and dedication to special education, creating a brighter, more inclusive future for children with special needs.
Occupational Therapy Lab
With the generous support of donors, Milestones now features a state-of-the-art Occupational Therapy Lab, specifically designed to support children with special needs. This facility is equipped to assist children with conditions like autism, cerebral palsy, developmental delays, and sensory processing disorders, offering specialized therapy aimed at enhancing their gross motor skills.
The lab is stocked with a variety of equipment aimed at improving balance, strength, coordination, and motor planning. Key tools include balance boards, therapy balls, rocker boards, gait trainers, and therapeutic climbing structures. These tools help children develop fundamental physical abilities, such as walking, running, jumping, and coordination between large muscle groups. By engaging with these activities, children work to improve their posture, stability, and overall mobility, contributing to their independence and physical confidence.
Therapists create tailored programs for each child, ensuring that they address individual needs while using these specialized tools. The equipment helps children tackle physical challenges, making it easier for them to perform daily tasks and interact more comfortably with their environment.
Sensory Lab
Milestones has set-up a state-of-the-art Sensory Lab, designed to support children with special needs in developing essential sensory skills.
The lab features an array of interactive sensory equipment that encourages both stimulation and relaxation. Bubble tubes, fiber optic lights, and projectors create a visually calming atmosphere, while tactile walls, textured mats, and weighted blankets offer hands-on experiences that promote touch-based learning. This thoughtfully designed space allows children to engage in activities that enhance focus, emotional regulation, and sensory adaptation. By experiencing different textures, lights, sounds, and movements in a structured setting, they develop greater confidence in processing their surroundings.
Computer Lab
Computer education plays a vital role in empowering children with special needs by enhancing their learning, communication, and independence. Adaptive technologies such as screen readers, speech-to-text software, touch screens, and customized keyboards help children overcome learning barriers and engage more effectively with educational content.
Through interactive software and assistive tools in correspondence to their curriculum, our students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital literacy skills. This preparing them for greater independence in academics and daily life. Computers also provide a platform for self-expression and creativity, enabling children to learn at their own pace in an inclusive and supportive environment.

Speech Therapy Room
At Milestones, we recognize that communication is key to a child’s development, confidence, and independence. To support children with speech and language challenges, we have created a specialized Speech Therapy Room that fosters language development, articulation, and social communication skills in a structured and supportive environment.
This space will be equipped with interactive speech tools, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, visual aids, and engaging learning materials tailored to each child’s needs. Our trained speech therapists from Ziauddin University work closely with students, helping them improve verbal and non-verbal communication, develop stronger listening and comprehension skills, and express themselves with confidence.
